Stars Brought forward from the previous edition, the uniform dons 11 geometric stars, representing the stories passed down from one generation to the next.
Visual Center At the heart of the uniform, geometric shapes link to form our city’s name. Interlocking as one shape creating the OKC letters, it builds a bold convergence of community, strength, and belonging.
Short and Shoulder Sash Like in traditional regalia, the Thunder sunset-colored sash wraps across the shoulder and shorts leg. It’s a symbol of the identity we all share and a tribute to the resilience of Oklahoma’s tribes and the state we continue to build together.
Sash and Teeth Inspired by the Oklahoma River that binds the north and south sides of our city, water-like teeth bridge the duotone colors, uniting both halves of the jersey into one.
Belt Icon
Squares and arrows merge and point toward the city that connects us. Each corner honors the four directions of the medicine wheel, a sacred symbol of interconnectedness.
Turtle
The turtle, hidden in the right side-leg of the shorts, is a symbol of the earth and endurance in many Native cultures. Its shell forms a perfect circle, filled with interlocking lines that represent Oklahomans joining together. The four legs echo the directions of the medicine wheel, a symbol of unity, with the tail pointing north, a steady reminder of the vision we share.
Waistband
Each square of the waistband represents the growth of Oklahoma communities. As each community expands outward, they meet one another, merge, and blend into one unified pattern inspired by ceremonial regalia.
